Rangers 0 Aberdeen 0
Yet again Rangers dominated but yet again they failed to win the game.
Aberdeen travelled to Glasgow looking for their first win at Ibrox in 14 years, but in the end it was only down to Rangers' failings that they escaped with a point.
The home side enjoyed an incredible 26 shots on goal, but in truth very few of those threatened Dons' keeper Ryan Esson.
Aberdeen, in contrast, had only a couple of chances, and neither called on Stefan Klos, returning to the first team for the first time since January, to make a save.
Steven Thompson was Rangers' best player and he threatened after 13 minutes with a shot that was deflected for a corner. Esson then fumbled Fernando Ricksen's corner, but Dado Prso could only fire over from the loose ball. Thompson then had a snap- shot saved before Gary Dempsey cleared a dangerous Ricksen corner, which was flicked on, off the line.
Barry Ferguson and Prso were the next to try their luck before Thompson was again denied by Esson.
Scott Severin had Aberdeen's only chance of the first half after 38 minutes, but he headed well over from a corner on the left.
Another poor show from Peter Lovenkrands saw him pass up a couple of firstt half chances and he was subbed at the break for Chris Burke.
Rangers put the visiting defence under intense pressure at the start of the second half. Prso and Olivier Bernard were both unlucky with their attempts, and Prso, Ricksen and Ian Murray all had successive attempts blocked after 52 minutes.
In the 71st minute Dons' defence somehow managed to turn the ball round the post for a corner with Sotirios Kyrgiakos close to scoring.
Rangers continued to dominate but there was no way past the solid Dons rearguard.
