Rangers' title hopes were dented as they were held to a 2-2 draw by battling Dundee.
However, the visitors got off to a flying start when the unfortunate Lee Wilkie turned Arthur Numan's left-wing cross into his own net with only 37 seconds on the clock.
With five minutes played, Gavin Rae saw his right-foot shot saved by Stefan Klos.
Fabien Caballero equalised for the home team with a cracking right-foot shot from outside the area in the 18th minute.
Ten minutes later Caballero scored Dundee's second with another fierce strike from outside the area after running with the ball from the halfway line.
Five minutes before half time a great interception by Zurab Khizanishvili denied Michael Mols a chance in front of goal.
Rangers were awarded a penalty kick on the stroke of half time when Wilkie was adjudged to have fouled Mols.
Barry Ferguson however, crashed the spot-kick off the underside of the bar and the rebound was cleared.
A brilliant tackle by Khizanishvili denied Fernando Ricksen a clear shot at goal.
With seven minutes remaining and time running out for Rangers, Ferguson had another chance to equalise from the spot but this time Julian Speroni saved the Rangers captain's effort.
Two minutes later Rangers were amazingly awarded their third penalty of the game when Dave Mackay handled inside the box.
This time Michael Arteta stepped up and sent Speroni the wrong way to snatch a vital point for the visitors.
