The Ibrox Bears Quiz Book
If there’s one thing that most fans enjoy, it is arguing about football trivia: whether in the pub, with friends, at home with family or – for the more serious – in formal quizzes.
Apex Publishing’s quiz book, The Ibrox Bears Quiz Book, will find favour with some of those people. Compiler and Author John DT White has certainly made an effort to include all aspects of the Rangers in his book: each page has a themed selection of questions on topics including individual players, seasons, goalscorers, transfers and so on throughout the history of our great Club.
Each section has questions of varying difficulty, so everyone can get involved, from novice to expert, and the sheer number of questions is enough to occupy those interested for a significant length of time.
The book is well set-out, clear and concise, and very easy to use. It includes a foreword from one-time captain Terry Butcher, and one of its greatest selling-points is the donation of £1 from every copy to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. A fine touch, indeed!
One minor grumble may concern the small number of questions where the given answer is either open to interpretation or perhaps entirely wrong, due to a repeat of previous erroneous information from another source, but this does not affect the impact of the book as a whole.
