UEFA announce ticket prices for Hampden UEFA Cup Final
Prices will range from £30 to £85 and will go on sale
next month on the official UEFA website.
SFA Chief Executive David Taylor described the final
as "a high-profile event which captures the
imagination.
"This has been an exciting week for Scottish Football.
We are hosting the sixth European Final to be staged
in Glasgow. A whole array of clubs are left in the
tournament."
Glasgow Lord Provost Liz Cameron stated:
"I am delighted to be here on behalf of the City of
Glasgow. The people of Glasgow are sports-mad, and all
citizens will be delighted to welcome our visitors. We
are a city of sport, and are bidding for the 2014
Commonwealth Games. I hope that Glasgow Rangers will
reach the final."
Few will believe that Cameron really meant that last
bit - she doesn't even know the proper name of the
club, and her allegiances to Celtic are well-known.
A UEFA spokesman emphasised:
"We extend our sincere appreciation - Glasgow is one
of the biggest, if not THE biggest, football cities in
the world. It will be a fantastic football night in
the stadium. In 2002 people mixed together and created
a real part atmosphere."
