Once again on behalf of the Save Our Sara appeal I'd like to thank everyone involved today - The fanzines for publicising the event, the teams for taking part, Bluesheep for providing me with the information and materials on how to organise a tournament and finally VIDA for providing the facilities and also a trophy that was presented to the winners along with a crate of lager after the games. The money raised was counted immediately afterwards and I'm delighted to say we raised 520GBP for the Save Our Sara appeal, which will be donated either via the record or Sara's family in the coming days. I'd also like to thank the people who couldn't come along today but made a donation to the fund, it is appreciated guys and girls.
In the end Bishopton were deserved winners, out running their opponents and smartly bringing along some youth to compliment the expereince in their side. FollowFollow.com A are proud record holders of making the semi final and indeed completing the tournament having not won a game and Carbrain RSC might be thinking what might have been if they had been drawn in pot A.
All in all, a great day was had by all and even the weather held out. We hope to see you all at the VIDA Rangers Supporters Tournament in the coming months, more details to follow.
