The Lincoln handicap is a 22 runner cavalry charge down the straight mile and the draw is always a major talking point. In recent runnings it has paid to be drawn high and on occassions when the ground is softer it can be beneficial to be drawn low.

However, today we had a dress rehearsal in the William Hill Mile and the first three home were all drawn low. The trainers had to make their choice on the draw before today's event and many who had the choice decided to go high. This should make for an
interesting event. I think that the winner will come from wherever the pace is strongest.

New Seeker and Divine Gidt have been at the head of the market for some time now and both have excellent chances. Michael Stoute has never won this race before but I believe he has his best chance today with Stream of Gold. He is relatively unexposed
and looked an improver all last year winning very well on his final start. I think he can win this today.

I will also be having an each way investment on Appalachian Trail at a biggish price. He needs a strongly run race and to be able to weave his way through. The race
should be set up nicely for him and he can run into a place.

Others to keep an eye on today include Royal Millenium in the Cammidge Trophy at 2.45, Leo's Lucky Star in the 3.55 and Banker Count in the 2.55 at Newbury.
