RANGERS YOUTHS DEFEAT HIBERNIAN
Hibernian 0 Rangers 1 (McCormack 4)
Rangers chalked up their third successive win in defence of their Youth League title with a 1-0 win over Hibernian at Fauldhouse earlier today.
A tousy and hard-fought fixture that saw four Hibernian players booked was decided by an early strike from Ross McCormack, but the score without question flattered Hibs, who scarcely troubled ŒGers goalkeeper Callum Reidford throughout the ninety minutes.
Rangers took the lead in five minutes when Tom Brighton¹s cross caught the defence napping, allowing McCormack to net with a right-foot volley.
Rangers controlled play for the vast majority of the game, without being able to convert their outfield superiority into goals, although both McCormack again and Darryl Duffy were denied early in the second-half by superb goalkeeping saves.
