ORSA has arranged the Fox and Lion in the Entertainment Precinct at Moore Park a short walk from Sydney Football Stadium, as a match day HQ for Sunday 25th July, Wednesday 28th July and Saturday 31st July. The pub opens from 11am on both weekends and lunchtime on Wednesday.
The ORSA Bears from all over Australia and New Zealand invite any friends or visitors to join us for a wee swally, sing song, rangers dvd's plus we've got some special tour merchandise and a great raffle prize of a signed Rangers jersey up for grabs (the players have written on it with invisible ink..only joking!). Details can be found at http://www.foxandlion.com.au/contact.htm
ORSA has also had a wee chat with James Squire's bar at Darling Harbour and they're happy to have any thirsty Bears pop in for a refreshment or two as you all hit the tourist trail of Sydney's harbourside and city centre during the week long Festival of Football. Squires is just a place to drop in, hang out and relax. Details can be found at http://www.jamessquirebrewhouse.net/
The only major event planned for Squires is a 'quiet' meet'n'greet on the night of Friday 30th July. This will feature a special live performance from songwriter extraordinaire Jim Lindsay, as the down under Bears look to record Part 2 of the Aussie Billy Boys "Live from Sydney" to share with all the youtube Bears around the globe. Inflatable kangaroos, flags, scarfs, cork hats, koala ears and also sorts of nonsense are planned after a few sherbets. All Bears welcome and song sheets will be available on the night for those who've yet to learn the words to this catchy tune! Further details will be posted on www.oceaniarsa.com of all the ORSA events.
Finally, Sydney RSC have chosen Kinsella's in Taylor Square, Darlinghurst for their match day venue. Details at http://www.kinselas.com.au/. Again, the tunes will be on, they've a beer special plus it's a short walk from the ground.
See you all at SFS no mater your favoured choice of watering hole. Wherever you choose to go you'll receive a warm welcome because as well all know your never a stranger, if you're a Glasgow Ranger!
We Are The People!
Cheers
Andy
