Onwards and Upwards.

The manager hasn't a clue. He’s lost his fight. Players don't know where they're supposed to be playing. They can't stem the tide of the Celtic resurgence.

All this blown out of the water in the space of 135 minutes of football: lasting from 9:05pm Thursday through till 5:30pm yesterday. I've argued for months & years on here that it doesn't matter how you get somewhere, as long as you get there, from players to tactics to victories.

A line was drawn in the sand during half time of the Europa League Last 16 tie against P.S.V. The management were given clear indication that the fans were not happy with the style of football we had witnessed in the first 45 minutes and indeed almost every game of note in the last 6 months. So they changed it. And it worked.

We battered P.S.V for 45 minutes at Ibrox and undoubtedly if our star centre forward had been available, I believe we would be back on the plane to Lisbon for a quarter final against Benfica. Still, we aren't and it may prove to be a blessing in terms of the league title.

I was at Ibrox yesterday as the team news started to filter through and I felt confident as soon as I seen Wylde & Naismith both starting, even at the expense of Weiss & Diouf.

The game itself was fairly even in the first half with a few chances (and claims) for each team but we kicked it up a notch in the second half. Gregg Wylde is the find of the season for me, even above Ness as he reminds me of the last player to even come anywhere near to filling the left midfield berth - Neil McCann. He's pacy, he's direct, he can cross a ball and he makes defenders think. He should start the majority of the games in the run in and I sincerely hope he does. A front 6 of Wylde, Davis, Hutton, Weiss, Jelavic & Naismith would, I think, set us up for 3 in a row and provide the perfect platform to build on for next season.

Yesterday was a huge win for us: Emotionally, mentally, psychologically, literally. The next team line up will show exactly how much attention was paid to the rumbles of discontent as the players trooped off at half time on Thursday evening.

Just do it, Rangers.
