Monday's match report from the Rangers win over Blackburn chooses to spend multiple paragraphs discussing a non-event of an incident, where one half-cut local is pulled away from a Rangers fan, and then questioning who was to blame for this "ugly flashpoint" which is felt to be "cringeworthy and embarrassing from a Scottish perspective."
Bonkers. Robert Grieve is the chap with the sensationalist angle.
Elsewhere in the soaraway Sun we find absolutely no mention, whatsoever, of the Celtic fans' behaviour in Lincoln.
Abusing the armed forces, promoting the IRA, throwing illegal flares and smokebombs and fighting amongst themselves, just for starters.
The newspapers cut and paste - pick and choose which stories to lift or to run with (see NOTW and the black third strip) - but seem unable to find a five page thread on the front page of the message board.
Scotland on Sunday had the decency to mention some of this, but with the usual caveat: "drunken so-called fans in Celtic strips" (as opposed to, oh I don't know, Celtic supporters?) were responsible.
Keep an eye on this in the coming season.
