'Gers head for Dundee

Rangers will hit the road again in the quarter-finals of the Co-operative Insurance Cup, travelling to Dens Park, Dundee for what promises to be a most interesting tie, particularly in view of the struggle the Ibrox men had last night to defeat another First Division club - Queen of the South - on their own ground.

Cup Holders Celtic will play host to Hearts in a rerun of the game, played at the same stage of the competition, that saw the Tynecastle men travel to the East End of Glasgow two years ago to eliminate the Parkhead men 2-0 with both goals scored by a certain Andrius Velicka.
