5 To Follow
A case of 'close but no cigar' last weekend with 4 of the 5 selections winning and QPR letting us down by only managing a draw at Luton to rob us of a £227 profit.
This week the 5 all look to be in with a good shout the return on www.bet365.com will be £105.57 for a £5 accumulator.
Just in case you have forgotten who the 5 are: Southampton, Sheffield Utd, QPR, Hull, Peterhead.

Fixed Odds
At one point last weekend it looked like my suggested bet to win us £2200 was a good thing. Unfortunately the kick off time arrived and it went straight down the pan, hopefully I can do better this week.

Blackburn 4/5
Statistically Blackburn can't lose this one. They have never lost a home game to Fulham. On average they concede less than 1 goal per game v Fulham. Blackburn have scored at least 2 goals per game v Fulham on average. Blackburn also have Fergie, Amo and Tugay in their team. This weeks banker.

Birmingham v Portsmouth Draw 9/4
Both teams have got off to a better start than most people expected them to. There is nothing to seperate them in the League, Portsmouth have drawn all 3 of their away games so far and Birmingham are undefeated at home. Both teams will expect to get something out of this one.

Everton 5/6
Everton have never lost at home to Leeds in the Premier League and although neither team has had a great start I think Everton should just about secure the points. Leeds also have a very poor scoring record at Everton with only 7 goals in their last 11 visits.

Wigan 6/4
Wigan have got off to a great start with 6 wins and a draw, 3 out of 3 wins away from home. Although Coventry had a decent win against Reading last week I can't see anything but an away win here.

Falkirk 11/10
Falkirk look to be getting back on track after a good away win at Clyde last week. By contrast their opponents this week, St Johnstone, who were many peoples idea of ante post favorites for Division 1, have had a dismal start and seem to be getting even worse.

Spread Bet
Arsenal v Newcastle (Friday night 8pm ko)
Surprisingly, well I was surprised, this fixture has produced one of the highest number of red and yellow cards over the last few seasons. A spread of 44-48 or so is likely to be available before kick off. I would advise waiting until 10-15 minutes into the game until the market drops down to 36-40, assuming there are no red or yellow cards during this period, of course. If you can BUY at 40 points get in there, 10 points are awarded for a yellow, 25 for a red. If there are no cards you lose £40 but it would be surprising if there were less than 4 bookings judging by the Gunners recent performances.
If you followed last weeks advice and backed Arteta for goal minutes you lost about £19 so our running total on the spreads took a pounding.
