Fixed Odds and Spread Betting

5 To Follow

The 5 to follow are turning out to be 5 to avoid. Peterhead and Sheffield Utd blew it last weekend but I expect both to make amends this time around.
The 5 are Southampton, Sheffield Utd, QPR, Hull and Peterhead. I think the 5 look good this week QPR are a slight concern but the other 4 should come up with the goods. If they do you will get a handsome £109.09 for a £5 stake( www.bet.365.com)

Fixed Odds.

If you followed last weeks advice you were no doubt scrambling about in the bin to retrieve a shredded coupon after Wolves amazing comeback against Leicester, but Millwall threw away a lead against Burnley and on Saturday night Cardiff couldn't score in a dismal goalless draw v West Ham to undo the good work done by the other 3 selections.

This week I am sticking with Wolves 7/2, to beat Middlesborough. 'Boro are struggling and their home record is poor. Admittedly Wolves don't have a very good away record against 'Boro but they look good value at 7/2 and worth the risk.

Southampton 6/5, take on the erratic Man City and look a good bet for a home win. There will not be much in this one but James Beattie seemes to have rediscovered his form and that should be enough to clinch it.

Fulham 17/10, Fulham will be full of confidence after their result against Man Utd last week (a similar result for the Teddy Bears next week would do fine). Liverpool had a good result midweek v Blackburn but, then again, most teams are getting decent results against Blackburn at the moment. Again this will be close but I fancy Fulham to sneak it.

Millwall 6/5, are an enigma, that is the nicest thing I can think of to say about them. This is the sort of game they must win. Notts Forest have a decent record away from home but the decent home odds justify the risk.

Stirling 10/11, It's not too often that you see bookies being generous with odds, this is one of those rare occassions. Stirling have a 100% away record and are 17 points above Cowdenbeath. Cowdenbeath have a great away record but have lost 4 out of 4 at home. On the form Stirling are this weeks bankers, if you ignore the rest of my advice don't ignore this.

Spread Betting

Last weeks suggested bet was a write off as the players concerned took no part in the game, at least we did not take a loss.
Deapite what I have already said about Blackburn I think their game against Leicester on Sunday will be a high scoring affair. I suggest a SELL on the 'Time of 1st Blackburn Goal' market. The market will be around the 55-59 mins range, I suggest a £1 stake on SELL so your max win is £55, max loss £31.
I will also be having a BUY on the 'Total shirt numbers market' but that is only for the really brave/stupid. On this market you score a point for the shirt number of each goalscorer, the market will be around 50-55 to start off so it is a big risk but I will be on it. Champagne or slashed wrists? I will update you next week.
