DUNDEE PREVIEW

After a scintillating performance against Kilmarnock, especially first half, I'm glad to say I called it wrong, plumping for a 2-0 Gers victory. I honestly hope I can be wrong in that fashion for the rest of the season as it was easily the best, and most convincing Rangers performance I have seen for a long time.

This week it's back to the vagaries of television dictated kick-off times which show scant regard if any, for the legions of travelling bears.

Our record against Dundee at Dens since the inception of the Premier League is pretty good, winning 15 out of the 34 fixtures, with 10 draws and 9 defeats. Overall in the Premier League we have won 39 out of 68 fixtures while our overall record in all League games at Dens sees us with 46 wins and 25 draws from 105 fixtures.

We are unbeaten there over the last few seasons, including the anomalous 2000/01 season when we had to make three journeys north. Recent victories there include a 7-1 pasting, a 4-0 victory and a 3-1 triumph although last season brought only a drab scoreless draw.

I will certainly be looking for better than that this Saturday, and with the possibility of Amoruso and Arveladze back I am confident we can achieve it. Arveladze may well have to settle for the bench and I fancy a 3-0 or 3-1 victory with DeBoer and Barry calling the shots, and maybe the ever industrious Ricksen getting the goal his efforts deserve.

Enjoy.
