Young Bears Andy Dowie and Allan McGregor have had to pull out of the Scotland U21 squad to face Iceland on Friday due to injury.
The Scotland Under 21 squad has been hit by six withdrawals through injury, leaving coach Rainer Bonhof with a selection headache.
The injured players are strikers Darren Mackie (Aberdeen) and Shaun Maloney (Celtic), together with midfielders Michael Stewart (Manchester Utd) and Stephen Pearson (Motherwell), as well as Dowie and McGregor.
