Rangers supporters from all over the Middle East are
heading to the Dubai Loyal RSC's end-of-season party
in what could turn out to be a "Treble" celebration.
With Gers claiming the Premier League Title in a
nail-biting finish, the get-together has taken on
added significance.
Supporters from the UK are also welcome to attend, but
are encouraged to book as soon as possible. Special
room rates have also been arranged with the Millennium
Airport Hotel for those travelling out. Temperatures
are hitting 35 degrees Celsius in the Emirates, so
Bears are advised to wear sunscreen factor 30!
(Sombreros are banned).
"Winning the title has made everyone's year, and we
aim to party in style," said MacDonald. "We expect
this event to rival the likes of Blackpool RSC's, but
with camels as opposed to donkeys! We have confirmed
the presence of two former Ibrox favourites who will
join us for the celebrations, as well as a special
screening of the Bill."
The party is scheduled to take place on Friday the 6th
of June at Biggles Bar, Dubai Millennium Airport Hotel
from 4pm to 7pm. Several activities are due to take
place during the day, from auctions and raffles of
Rangers memorabilia and televised classic Rangers
games from the past. Biggles staff has also prepared a
special Desert Bears Treble cocktail combining Blue
Bols, Seville Oranges and Cream to fuel the
festivities.
An all-inclusive price of 100 UAE dirhams (About $28)
per adult inclusive covers all drinks and snacks.
Children's entry is set at 45 UAE Dirhams ($12) for
the supervised pool party. All proceeds will go to
club funds for future events.
Those that turn up will also get a chance to register
as members of the Middle East Desert Bears, which is
to act as the first official Middle East-wide Rangers
supporters club, and get the opportunity to take part
in future events, such as the annual club dinner.
