The former Osasuna player announced the creation of a special 'fanzone' for Barcelona supporters when they travel to Glasgow tomorrow for the first of two Champions' League ties between the clubs.
Speaking in a video message sent to the Barcelona website and their fans' websites, Carlos Cuellar said: "Our supporters - and our mascot Broxi Bear - look forward to welcoming the Barcelona fans to Glasgow next week. The fanzone is a ideal opportunity for the fans of two great football clubs to get together.
"I love playing and living in Scotland and I know the Barcelona fans travelling to Glasgow will have a fantastic time."
The Barcelona 'fanzone' will be situated in Glasgow's Merchant Square and activities at the fanzone will include a mobile football pitch and a computer games station, with music and entertainment. Food and refreshments are also available in the bars and restaurants. The zone will open at noon.
Alfons Godall, Social Area Vicepresident of FC Barcelona, said: "The fanzone is a fantastic idea and our supporters will love it. I think this is an excellent initiative from Rangers and we are happy and grateful that the club has provided such a venue for visiting fans."
On arrival in Glasgow, Barcelona fans will be taken to Ibrox for pre-arranged special tours of the stadium before being bussed to the fanzone in Merchant Square which will be open for the afternoon of the match.
