After enduring a horrific and traumatic process the Club was saved, and we have had the chance to make new friends and enjoy new experiences across Scotland this season.
The Club has clinched the third division and stage one of the ascent has been comfortably achieved.
With Ally McCoist as manager, and with someone like Walter Smith in the boardroom, we have good Rangers men at the heart of the Club.
Ally deserves the chance to enjoy a proper pre-season and buy his own players when the disgraceful embargo is lifted.
The number of young and youth players getting a chance this season (19 products of Auchenhowie) has been encouraging and shows that excessive criticism about experienced pros clogging up the squad is a little hyperbolic.
Charles Green brought the right mix of defiance, can-do attitude and willingness to stick up for the Club – and stick up two fingers to those who despise us – and although he let himself and the Club down his influence and impact in terms of negotiating deals and setting us on the right course means we thank him and wish him well.
The idea that after losing the CEO we should look to replace the manager – a living legend and a man who helped so much with morale and leadership during the dark days – is crazy. The players have latterly let their standards slip but any moaning and groaning should be placed in context.
