ODDS AND SODS

A few weeks ago we identified KILMARNOCK as one of the potential banana
skins for Celtic in the lead up to the league split. With Celtic struggling
for a 1-1 draw versus Dundee last week, then following this with the same
scoreline against a very poor Boavista side on Thursday, it would appear
Killie at 12/1 now represent very generous odds indeed.

Killie are on an amazing 15 match run which has seen them beaten only twice,
versus Rangers, and Scotland's 'Third Force' Hearts. Nothing is guaranteed
but even repeating their previous draw against Celtic could be worth shoving
some sweetie money on at a very tasty 9/2.

Back to business as usual for the forecasts this week with quite a few good
prospects in the Scottish league on Saturday. Some nice winners in the 'best
of the rest' section last week, hopefully we can land them in the Fab Four
this time.

SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE

ABERDEEN 5/4 v Dunfermline

This season the Dons suffered one of their poorest runs in modern history,
having won only once in 17 attempts. Since beating Dundee United 3-0 in
February they seemed to have reversed that form with 3 wins from their past
five games. Only slight hiccup was the defeat away to this years high-flyers
Kilmarnock.

They face the Pars who have only managed two wins from their last ten games,
reversing their own fine earlier form. Home advantage will also further
favour the Dons.

Partick 15/8 Draw 12/5 HEARTS 11/10

Hearts superb run of nine wins, and two draws in their last 13 games has
seen them deservedly emerge as Scotland's 'Third Force'. Only two defeats in
that sequence and both of these were away to the Old Firm.

In an almost exact opposite scenario struggling Partick have only one win
from their own 'unlucky 13' run which sees them flirting dangerously with
relegation. Looks like it will be the Jambos that will provide the 'thrills'
at Firhill.

Motherwell v DUNDEE 5/4

Dundee have pushed themselves slowly and painstakingly up to 6th and remain
undefeated from their last 8 games. Albeit five of those were draws, but
that includes holding Celtic at 1-1 last week.

The past 8 games for the Steel Men have seen only 2 wins and 6 defeats, 4 of
these losses were over the past four games. Now firmly at the bottom of the
table it would appear that it may be too late for Well to save themselves
from the drop, certainly not at Dundee's expense who's tails are well up at
the moment.

SCOTTISH DIVISION ONE

St Mirren 5/4 v Ayr Utd

St Mirren in 7th, have only suffered defeat from the Leagues top 3 teams, in
the past ten games. Whereas hapless Ayr, although two places ahead at 5th,
have suffered 5 defeats from their last six matches.

Expect this to be a tight one but the Buddies should follow through last
weeks win v Arbroath with victory over their visitors.

Suggested bets:

The above foursome returns £119 for a fiver. Or around £24 for each £1 unit
stake.

A small side bet, adding in Kilmarnock to draw, would return £131 for a
£1.00 stake.

The more optimistic gamble of Killie to actually win returns £310 for the
Fivefold, again with a £1 bet.
