Alex Salmond and the Art of Being Shafted Once Again.

Oh, and he must be up to summit
What is the chances, sure, it’s more than likely
I’ve got a feeling in my stomach
I start to wonder what his story might be, what his story might be

You don’t think the start to the year can get any worse, and good old Rangers and this present management team snatch utter despair from the jaws of failure and despondency. Way to go, chappies. Way to go.

I don’t do ‘papers after an OF defeat, but I can’t help but see headlines. So Martin Bain is in the rags, saying he’s got a wee snippet up his sleeve to get back at Neil Lennon, in the forthcoming sectarian shenanigans with the First Minister being his confidante?

Just when you think it cannot possibly get any worse?

Let’s run this by each other and get our facts straight, correct and on the money. The concept we have to grasp here is that the management of Rangers Football Club at this moment in time want (and apparently trust) a guy who is in hawk to the Roman Catholic Church and its voters in Scotland, and who is on record as saying he will maintain sectarian, apartheid, Roman Catholic schooling, at any price. Yet he’s actually the guy we should put our faith in when it comes to the thorny issue of sectarianism? Aye right. As I said, just when you think it could not possibly get any worse?

Way to go chappies, way to go. However, you can count me out. Don’t ever be fighting on Rangers behalf in my name, on the sectarian issue, with Salmond in the frame. Why, why, why should I need to point this out?

No doubt there are some of you out there who felt good that ‘Super Ally’ had a head-to-head with Lennon at the end of the recent Scottish Cup tie replay? Well, once again, count me out of that sweetheart contract.

You see, what is of paramount importance, and the only thing that should concern the Rangers support is that it has taken a year and FIVE, I said FIVE derby matches, for the wily old fox and his media savvy assistant to get the measure of the rookie Lennon. That in and of itself should be a sacking offence!

As for bad ‘Old Firm’ things? The thing is, some of us have it on good authority what actually happened in the tunnel at Ibrox on Feb 6th. However, where were our management team at the time? Surely, that is the main question we have to ask?

Well, it would appear the wily old fox was up in the directors’ box and Ally had already bolted into the dressing room. Of course, this was only three OF games, in, Lennon wise. So the message hadn’t sank in, as of yet. Don’t you just love our dignity and playing the gameiness and getting it stuffed right up our ussiness?

Once again; count me out! There have been apparently two hundred odd complaints made about Lennon and his behaviour (which equates to normal behaviour) at the Cesspit post the cup replay, yet our management team are happy to do photo shoots with him? How about just saying nah? It is that simple, if you believe in the concept to start with, to then carry it through.

The thing is, and it would appear to be a hard thing for our lot to comprehend is:

Forget the filth and their fans
Forget other fans in Scotland
Forget the Scottish media

Here’s today’s wee top tip: How about just caring about Rangers Football Club and US, the Rangers support?

We seem always, and I mean, always to get sucked somehow these days into one of those wee cyclone things that take you down, down, down. But it is always one way. And I am bloody sick of it.

Getting back to what is important; the bottom line is, and there can be no getting away from it, our wily old fox and his street-smart, Media-loving assistant are now being given the run-around by a tactical pygmy and an excuse for a human being, a tactical non-entity who had not won one game of significance until Jan 2nd this year.

There are, at time of writing, three months of the season to go. There are also two more games against Celtic. If we do not win them, and win this league, the management trio (I just thought I’d mention you, too Kenny) have to be sacked.

It won’t happen of course. In fact, there’s more chance of Alex Salmond condemning sectarian schooling.

And what a scummy man

Just give him half a chance
I bet he’ll rob you if he can
You can see it in his eyes
Yeah, that he’s got a nasty plan
I hope you’re not involved at all?
